Lamborghini's First Electric Supercar To Be Launched

Italian supercar manufacturer Lamborghini will launch its first electric supercar in 2027.

To streamline its plans, Lamborghini invested around $1.5 billion in development.

Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann, in a recent interview with Yahoo Finance,

states that the first electric Lamborghini could be launched in 2027 or 2028

but plug-in hybrids are coming sooner.

However, Winkelmann also supports renewable fuels as a way to make cars

with the internal combustion engine remains relevant for the foreseeable future.

“We hope that there will be opportunities for synthetic fuels that are zero CO2 so that

we can use to refuel our super sports cars," he said,

The first Lamborghini electric car is predicted to be an electric GT which will have four seats.

The 2+2 seating arrangement is now being developed by Lamborghini in conjunction with the Porsche manufacturer.
